So back in July I got a Nikon d60, and promptly returned it the next day, due to multiple dead pixels at the center of my image.
I bought a Rebel XSi around 2 months ago, and when I got home, immediately snapped a few pics with the lens cap on. All looked good, so I thought I had a good camera.
Last night there were a couple of planets really close to the moon, so I went and took a couple of long exposures.
Just my luck, there was a bright red dot in the lower left. After taking a few more 30 second shots with the lens cap on, I noticed a few more brightly colored pixels around the image (though none are quite as big as the red one).

This only happens on long exposures, but it's still annoying to see. I've tried multiple lenses, dusting off the sensor, and nothing has worked.
Any advice on what to do at this point?
