(dead perhaps?) Kensington wireless mouse (scroll) and keyboard $9.94 @ staples Oct 12 - 25

The keyboard's range is a LOT greater than 6 ft. I just went a good 10-12' with no problemo. Like I said in my earlier message, the keyboard really isn't laid out much different than a standard one. Just the keys are shaped differently.
. A touch typist should have no problem at all. Just close your eyes and type!

actually, the range isn't 10 feet for me. when i move like 10 feet away it starts missing keystrokes

Did you have a clear line of sight between the kbd and the receiver? I think that's the key. Also reorienting the receiver will help increase the reception radius.

Just called my local store, they said they still had plenty! I will probably go over there later today to pick one or two up - can't be all that bad for $10 & christmas is coming...

love the range. have the receiver on top of my monitor so theres a straight line-of-sight to mostly anywhere in my room. (range is about 15')

Thanks for the post xyknewtry. There were about 20 in our Staples.Mine is working great but the slanted keys or maybe I should say keys at an angle are weird, hope i get used to it. Also and this is going to sound picky but the left click button is smaller at the top of the button so it wont click because My finger is partly off the button at the top But if i do get used to it great...But the darn thing is working great right out of the box may PU another for my son or friend!

The funny thing is that last week (when the price was $9.94) my store had none in stock. Now, at $29.99, they are "overflowing" with them...

I thought this sale was on till next Saturday 25th so of course I waited till today to pick an extra up for my son...surprise 29.99 guess I should have asked last night when the sale was good till. At least I got one for myself.

While at the store, I looked at the shelf tag (that was still on the shelf) and, in the small print, it said the $9.94 sale ended 10/18/03. Maybe the OP of this thread got his end date wrong.
