My first post. I did search for "staples" and "kensington". Seems to me it is not posted

#508844
Found it in their weekly Circular

Edit #1: Mouse is ball-based, 3 button

Edit #2: Seems deal already ended for some ATers. I copied and pasted the date ( "Oct 12 - 25 ") directly from their circular on Oct. 10th. Perhaps Staples has changed it?

Still $20 online. I am going to guess it is not an optical mouse, any idea? I might have to pick one up fro my HTPC.

Thanks,
Brian

Purchased the combo and really like it. The ball style mouse works great as far as i'm concerned and I have 2 optical on other computers. I am using this on my main gaming rig and will pick up a couple more combo's at 9.94. Thx for the fyi.

#EDIT: I did an exchange at the store, and won't complain anymore 🙂

Well I picked one up today, at a pretty busy store in Northen VA..its right next to a major mall, best buy, circuit city and CompUSA. They had a handful of them left.

Worth a drive to see...I was fully expecting to be out of luck.

Not a bad combo at all, deal for $10

Chili😀

They had twenty out when I went in to my local Staples. I started by putting in two at a time into my cart and by the time I had ten they were all gone. Picked up the FAR Modem and also the Compaq Presario 2581US for $799 A/R. Even though I have a Platinum card I rarely walk into a store due to plentiful coupons. Now that's over. I wanted the notebook so I had to go. What I hate about Staples is their lousy employee training. I see many young, hard working staff members that do not have the proper training. I bet they meet many frustrated customers who need some help and the ill trained staff members are lost. Easy to lose interest in your job in this type of environment.

good price w/ wireless, but i'd go w/ something better. have had bad experience with wireless products before. mouse was definitely not very responsive and the battery was new and all.

I bought one today (before I even saw this thread as I was there for something else) in the Cortland NY store - they had plenty. It is basically an A4tech keyboard (the one that's in the $36. combo set on Newegg) with a regular cordless ball mouse instead of the optical that's in the NE set. Seems that the place is very confused.
The display had a big $29.95 price on it but the sale poster says " Regularly $19.95 on sale $9.9x. Kbd is very soft which I don't like - I'll have to use it a good while to see if I like the "ergo" layout. I probably won't be using the mouse part but I'll have to test it anyway just to be sure it works. Still it's hard to beat for $10...

Where's the :sun: ?

Still havent gotten around to picking one up.

Of those of you who bought this how do you like it so far?

Thanks,
Brian

haven't used the mouse. have a corded optical. that's good enough for me. the reason i got a cordless keyboard was so that dumb wire wouldn't interfere with my feet. so it works great. and it's pretty comfortable, in my opinion. keys are sorta diff, if you're not used to ergo (used a ms natural, so it's not hard for me to adjust)

I like mine pretty well. I'm zipping along on it right nicely for a new kbd. There is a review of a similar set on http://www.dansdata.com - it shows that the kbd really isn't laid out differently than a normal kbd just that the keys are a different shape. Sort of an optical illusion.
Mine isn't quite as mushy as I first thought. I guess the cooler temperature in my confuser room stiffened up the action a bit - another reason I don't care for the "rubber dome'' style kbds - temperature variable key action...

I actually like this keyboard, it's fairly comfortable to use, and the mouse just glides across everything.

Worth the $10, IMO.

I bought 2. Very easy set up. The keyboard layouts are funky. Quiet KB. It will take awhile to get used to these keys. Good deal though.

scored one too! haven't tried it yet though. Hows the battery life? They still have one left at the pasadena staples if anyone is still interested.
