Newly assembled PC worked fine for one month. Then after being unplugged and plugged back into a UPS (for vacuuming behind my desk) it started up for a few seconds, and died. Can't boot it since. When I press power button, a fan jerks slightly, and that's it. There's a green LED on the motherboard, and it lights up whenever the PS is on, however PS fan is not spinning.
The PS is fine, it can power up my other PC. I disconnected everything, so it's down to mobo, CPU and memory. There are two sticks of RAM, tried each of those sticks separately. Tried shorting up power switch pins on the mobo.
The PC didn't have any spontaneous reboots while it was working.
Anything else to try before ordering a new mobo?
ASUS P5QC with E8400 CPU.
