My daughter's pc was off power for 2 days. Now when I went to restart, all I get are 1 long beep/2-3 sec silence/1 long beep over and over. Tried clearing cmos, reseating video card and ram, disconnected all drives and still ng. Removed ram and restarted with same beep code, then tried without video card, same thing. Mb is a GA-7VAX with an award bios, 128mb ddr ram, tnt2 video, 420watt ps, XP1600+, 60gb Maxtor. Anyone know what this code stands for?

One long beep usually there is something wrong with the memory stick. Try to use the memory in another computer if it's working then you got bad memory slor. try to move the memory to another slot if still give you the same long beep then you have bad motehrboard.

Hope that help

Well no luck so far. Swapped out ram, video card, and processor with same results. Also had disconnected all drives and peripherals. Must be the mb, just don't see how turning off power supply switch should cause this problem. mb is only 2 months old so I emailed Gigabyte, can't find any mention of warranty length in manual.
