Colrenea:

er...Your software will not let you try and burn an upside down disk. Indeed the disk that you have is a blank.

Scrap Silicon or anybody else,

Was it verified that this drive is in fact a 48X12X48 drive or are some 48X24X48 as suggested in a previous post?

Thanks...

I just noticed Nero says the burner is Mount Rainier capable. Now all we have to do is wait for MS to incorporate the Mt. Rainier technology into Windows. Wonder when that will happen?

I have experienced faster connection speeds with this modem. I went from connecting at 38-42 to about 47 (kbps that is). Not too bad. It mostly depends on your phone lines.

they will take the coupon into account if you return without getting something of equal or greater value/price
I think Staples would definitely take the coupon off or charge your card the extra $20. If this were Officemax though, they wouldn't do anything. I've purchased combo deals before at OM and returned one or more of the items that got me to the minimum purchase point for the coupon and they leave the coupon in place. I didn't do it on purpose to screw OM out of money, I just didn't like one of the items and returned it. I was expecting them to charge me the $20, but they didn't.

If I place an order today (10/16) and I receive the stuff after the rebate offer ends (10/19), will the rebate still be valid? ie, will my purchase date be today?

There may be a possible problem with the rebate if you use this coupon code. After reading the "fine print" it says that the rebate is not valid with any way shape or form of other deal. I thought that this may cause some problems and figured i would point it out to you guys..... Any ideas???

Received mine yesterday and it is a lite-on. Received my pen today. Staples sent someone to my house to deliver a single pen. I wonder how they can stay in business making two trips. People think the Postal Service is inefficient.

Someone reply to my question? I want to jump on this deal, but I don't know if I can.

Sure it will count because the receipt that you get if you order it tonight will be 10/16. The rebate has to be mailed back by 11/10 or something like that.

If I'm wrong i'm out the rebate too because I ordered it a couple hours ago.

Thanks for the warning newbie, but it doesn't work that way.

Yes! Junior Member The rebate is still valid. As long as you make your purchase before midnight Sat. est you qualify for the rebate.

Would someone who has this drive be kind enough to check to see if this drive is the LTR-48125W, LTR-48125S or the newer LTR-48126S and post back?

You can get this info in Device Manager or Nero or some similar utility or possibly stamped on the label of the drive.

Thanks in advance...

staples' rebates usually take copies of the packing slip
that's what you normally send for online orders

I believe if you register online for the rebate all that you have to send in is the completed rebate form from the online rebate submission page and the upc code. That way, no need to worry about whether you send in the packing slip or print out of confirmation of order / confirmation e-mail. Hope this helps!

The packing slips say "Not An Inovice" on them. Staples might accept them, but since the rebates call for a copy of the invoice, I emailed their customer support and had them send me a valid invoice (they will either fax or mail them). Seems better not to chance the hassle of having them deny the rebate because of improper documentation.

The packing slip is not a invoice, it's a packing slip, and the rebate doesn't call for a copy of the invoice, it calls for a receipt and that's what the packing slip is, your receipt. I have always send in a packing slip with my on-line order rebates and have never had a problem with doing that.

I don't think you need to deal with the invoice/not an invoice issue if you fill the rebate forms in online, do you?
