only good for those die hard amd fans that wanna chuck darts at the damned thing.
or maybe a keychain? wuteva Text

Doesn't seem so bad to me, rival. I've paid $10 for a broken Athlon before... although this may be a grab-bag of clock speeds. Too bad the shipping doesn't drop very fast for buying multiples... ~$16 shipping for 3.

Wow...almost as good as a dead cat for sale....??? What is good about a dead processor....seriously, not trying to thread crap....what do you use them for, key chains? Clocks?

wth am i going to do with a broken processor? put it together with a broken mobo to make it work????

Perhaps the person who buys it will write some good comments about how great the dead processor is and what a great deal Newegg gave, Newegg will post it and give some great gift.

Yeah, the shipping is really crappy. Three items for $14 total + 15.75 shipping. 😛 (Saving a big $1.25 over shipping the items seperately. Puh-leeez!)

At leat they could ship it better then Fedex saver, it takes up to a week. Which my order I've been waiting for has taken six days already and im only a state away from them..

You can stuff it and put it on your mantel, then shoot blow gun darts at it.

. This item may be defective and does have some scratch or crack

Possibly used and abused by OCs. Another source could be dead systems that some vendor(s) figures it was more cost effectived to part out computers, instead of working on.

What's the going price range for pulled CPUs sold with 10-30 day warranty?

Maybe you can put a system with all the dead components in and say you have the cheapest system ever and then go on bragging about it to your friends. You do the same with your live ones, so mine as well.

I bought 20 of those pentium 3 processor's the last time they were selling them for $2 each-2 were amd k6-2- 1 was a k6-3 they worked-I had a friend try 1 of the pentium slot processor's and it works (all I have is amd I don't know why I bought them??)-lots of those are slower speed processor's. I called and asked for a better price on shipping and they gave me a break on the shipping.

I think i'm going to find out they all work-they just slower speeds like 500-900 speed processor's-my brother likes intel-prob just give them to him

They make nice keychains...as long as you don't put your keys in your pocket...pins are kinda "pokey" ...I speak from experience...(first coppermine I got...had voltage set wrong, got about 3.0 volts to it...made a nice popping sound)...

I tried a Celeron ($2 + $6 shipping) when I ordered a refurb motherboard. Well, it was a slot1 300A and as dead as who knows what. It came with a cooler master HS/fan. So I can at least salvage the 50mm fan.

I took out the HS fan and saw multiple scratches on the print board cutting through the traces. It looks that someone tried to take off the HS/fan using a screw driver and made those scratches. I am going to use a conductive trace pen to see if I could restore it.

Anyway, from my experience, I would not recommend anyone to try them out.

What can you do with dead CPU? you bring it to work and swap it out with a working one so you boss will upgrade you computer. Just my 2 cents.

Or if you have a lower moral standard you can sell the working one you swapped out.
