I agree that calling is pretty much a waste of time and can only alert them to a possible error. On the other hand there was likely no way this was going to fly anyway. Not with the sheer volume of requests. I mean if only 5 people ordered one of these then it may not be a big deal but thousands of orders in an hour and a half is going to throw up some flags.
 
No status change on PCConnection order.
Order status open.
Weird. Cause PCConnection is pretty quick about this.

I just now spoke with Cheryl in sales at PageComputers, tel 323-665-7777, who said they had a pricing mistake.

They are NOT selling Opterons for those prices. She said they will be at least $200 ea and up, they're still working that out.

So, all just a big mistake. It was indeed too good to be true.

This thread is about the PCConnection deal on the Opteron 148.
Wonder if these guys will ship out at least some of the orders.
 
I keep wondering who the guy is who makes these price mistakes. Wonder if he gets fired. (BTW mines still not canceled)
 
Well, price mistakes happen, it's not new.
What are the chances of this happening on at least two different sites all at the same time, on the same item (Opteron 148) within hours of each other???

It looks to be something else.
 
I've actually placed two orders, one by a mistake.
Both of mine orders just got CANCELLED.
No email notification.
