I was going to chime in and say that I've own this exact same model for a few months now and it's awesome. The 14" screen looks good at 1400x1050. But now that the deal has passed guess my words are in vain. Oh well.

All that for $900 AR? Sounds like a good deal to me! But how did you manage this configuration? I didn't see Athlon processors as a choice for the HP notebooks nor did I find any rebates for HP notebooks on the Staples website. Any additional information that you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

I have been using this laptop for a week or so... I must say i am surprise that I am so happy with a compaq laptop!!! It looks great and its light. The battery life is amazing. I even played a bit of counterstrike on this laptop. Its pretty quiet too I can hardly hear the harddrive and fan. Overall I get this laptop a nice B.

How is a laptop that is 1.5" thick, huge? Also, the weight of 6.5 Lbs. is within the range of over 80% of the laptops out there.

Mine definitely is NOT 1.5 inches. 1.2 is more accurate. What type of measuring system is this guy using!?

ok... I just measured mine with a ruler... and guess what... its 1.2 inches... what did u know compaq wasn't lying afterall.
