Actually if you look closely there are 4 sku's listed. And the phonemate is listed as one of them. So like I said its a gamble.

But has anyone seen the kbyte 256 DDR MFR MIR? only one i can find at OM is the OM one...

I just thought I would give you guys a head's up. I went down when the store first opened to get some because I had an instore coupon. I got the ram and went home before I checked it out. Guess what I got ........PC2700 6ns Spectek chips. I put it in my computer and it booted up as PC2700 cas 2.5 up to 167. I immediately called them back and asked them to hold another one(because there was a ton of people there getting ram) and when I got there, guess what, another PC2700. After my coupon and the rebates they paid me about $25 to buy 512MB of PC2700......:)

same deal here, got the 6ns spectek.
By the way, I believe Spectek is a spinoff/division of Micron, so you're really getting Micron RAM, i.i. pretty good quality IMHO

Spektec is a division of Micron. My dad actually works for Spectek testing these modules, and he says that they do a better test and burn in than even Micron does.......

confirmed, mine is also 6 ns pc2700 specktek.
if you're not ordering online,
you have to ask the cashier for the ram, just bring up the ad and ask for the ram.
There no way you can tell if they have anymore left on the isles.

Well, if you go to their website, the markings on the chip coincide with PC2700. When I boot up my machine and leave all the settings as auto, it tells me it is running at 166. Lastly, here is what Sandra is telling me.....PC2700U cl 2.5 up to 167mhz....current memory speed at 168mhz.....

I sent two K-Byte rebates to wheresmyrebate in last August, never receive the checks.

In last October, I was able to check the rebate status on their website www.wheresmyrebates.com.

Since last November, I can not check the K-Byte rebate status on their website, they never reply my emails.

Who is the liar? K-Byte or wheresmyrebate?

the two rebates with KByte both require original UPC, usually i would just send copy to OM, anyone confirmed this?

In the booklet I have it says that copies of the UPC are acceptable for the memory rebate direct through Omax.......

bring your receipt the copy of the rebate to the place you brought, they might credit your credit card if there are any rebate troubles.

SoCal - picked the the ram and got the Pacific Digital 52X CD-RW. $110 - $80 rebates - $25 off = $5 + tax

Pac Dig rebates can be iffy. K-Byte also. The Office Max rebates total $35. So if the MIR don't come $50 for both is still nicely priced.

Yeah, OM is pretty good about crediting you for rebates that weren't paid as long as you have half decent documentation (see my sig)
