Previously I had listed some bad rebate dealings with Hi-Val & K-Byte. However, mysticman has stated that both companies no longer do their own rebates and use reputable rebate companies (ie. rebateshq & easierrebates.com). I withdraw my previous statements :) Happy hunting everyone and g/l with the rebates!

I have never had problems with rebates (including HiVal) other than them sometimes taking well over the advertised 8-12 weeks. They have always eventually shown up.

I don't know where you send the rebates you mention to, but the Hi-val rebate go to RebatesHQ.com the same company that handles most of Staples rebate and the K-Byte rebate go to Easiesrebates.com. Both companies let's you submit and track your rebates on their web site.
Of course they will not send out check until the companies offering the rebates send them the money to cover the checks.

This is not the way things were done in 2002. Thank you for the new info tho mystic. These rebates might be a lot more reputable now. In 2002 there was no tracking for either company.

I am building a machine with an Epox 8rda+ and an xp2100+ processor.

Do you guys know any reason why this memory will not work in this board?

I WANT two Twinmos modules but the extra ~$100 is not in the budget right now. $40 (I don't count on getting the rebate so it seems like a gift when the check shows up!) is more my speed and overclocking can wait for a few months.

Thanx for the hot deal.

I'm planning to get on deal #1 but I can't seem to agree with your calculation.

Deal # 1 -> 39.99+19.99+19.99=79.97 not 99.97

I think you forgot to include other freebies with this to make the total to $100.
Anyways, can we do store pickup when using officemax coupon online or will they go the OD's route on asking for physical coupon when picking up?

you're right, so I added a second 100 pack of CDRs (Imation brand) that are free after $20 MIR.

How much faster is this than the 2.4Ghz phones?

MysticMan1 does it again! Thanks Man(1)! OfficeMax and my credit card company love you. I have no idea what I am going to do with the around 1,000 unused CD-Rs, though. I am thinking I should building something with them -- maybe a computer case or something.

Does anyone know anything about this Verbatim burner? I've done some searches, but can't find too much information about it...

Thanks.

I have had problems with some of the OM rebates @ rebateshq. One for a Belkin product, and the other for the Cendyne 4x DVDRW.
They internally sorted the Belkin rebate wrong (since they put 10+ rebates on the same form), so I got denied. The other they said the UPC was invalid.
I called on both and straightened each out w/in minutes. However, it is getting to the point where I may start passing on these rebate deals due to this inconvenience. Please tell me this isn't a trick to extend the payout period.
