As a number of people have pointed out in this thread in most stores copies of the ad will be stacked near the door so anyone who wants one can grab a copy.

I just called another store and the same answer. However, I have the feeling they were holding something back. I'm beginning to think that this is an internal sale, as the ad says, for employees, etc, only.

Can you buy these items TODAY and take your receipt back tomorrow for a price match / correction to the one day sale price?
Printed copies of the ad have been used successfully in past Officemax friends and family one day sales.

"Offer not valid with any other rebates, offers or promotions"
Wouldn't the $50 off with coupon be considered another offer/promotion?
Just want to be sure before I bother to try and drive all the way to the closest OM and attempt to get one in the first 5 minutes of opening before they're sold out....

sigh...he's right...can't combine the two offers...so the chair is gonna cost $50 regardless, nothing less :frown:
hey guys, just got back from OM. The people there are being really hush hush about the whole thing. No ads out, signs up, or anything else. I had to ask one of the salespeople about it and they reluctantly told me that they were holding the friends and family promotion tomorrow. They also said that they'd offer a faxed copy of the flyer. Looks like another YMMV deal, but worth a shot if you have an OM near you.
I saw the thumbdrives out on shelves but the chair was nowhere to be found. We'll see tomorrow.

Hrm... I guess i could see it going either way. Any other ideas why this will/will not work?
the rebate will not work. called an officemax here in san antonio and spoke with the store manager. he said about 3 people had already asked him today and he said it was a no go.
