I recently bought one of these drives. It is extremely small... the smallest I have seen (2 3/8" long X 11/16" wide) and quite solidly built. The cap was very easy to attach with fish line (there is ample space for the knot on the inside of the cap). I formatted to NTFS and have been copying images over 4GB with no problems.

EDIT: This is a fast drive.... tested by Engineer with the ATTO benchmark, it topped out at 31MB / sec in read and 15MB / sec in write speed.

It does get a bit warm when in use, but considering its size, not a major deal, imo.

$2.99 shipping is the new, slower 3-7 day "Egg Saver" variety. Drive will come by mail and not UPS.

2.75% live cashback should be available for this deal.

Thanks.

I needed a flash drive and even if the rebate doesn't go through that's a good price for 16 GB's.

I'd get it if it didn't have that fruity Diesel on it. Maybe I'll buy some Hello Kitty stickers to beef it up.

Edited for old age!

Damn, that's speedy!

You just talked me into a purchase.

Thanks OP!

If you prefer something more manly and don't care for rebates

Edit: just noticed it doesn't have free shipping, sorry. Shipping to my location is $7.69 so it's not price comparable. :-(

Thanks for your benchmark... I have edited my OP to indicate that speeds are good.

Damn, I missed the "not" in there. I'm very sorry!

I guess I'm just tired and stressed over my potential job situation. :( (I work in automotive ...that says it all).

Again, my apologies for not reading well and thanks for posting a very good deal!

Don't worry, I read it as slower, too. I guess we'll never know now that it has been edited... ;)

Haha... No problem at all Engineer... My grammar in the middle of another sleepless night was clearly not all that great... I am just glad ppl have been getting in on the deal, as I said, I love this drive!

BTW, I have edited my OP to include a pic of my drive with the cap attached with fish line.

Sigh, I bit. I do not know why. Our economy is in the pits, I already have a 16GB Corsair FlashVoyager that I never use, and I know that this OCZ drive will probably cost $16 without a rebate by the time I get around to using it. But the speeds are nice, the price is good, and the ratings are positive. My wallet just whispered to me that it hates this forum.

You should try spending some time (er...money too) while looking at the Fatwallet or SlickDeals.net hot deals forums. Talk about making your wallet cry, lol! :p

Ordered 1. Anyone know if there is a way to partition one of these and put multiple Linux versions on one of these? I'm thinking Mint 6.0; Puppy Linux; DSL; and SLax all on one flash drive if I can swing it.

I have this same drive on the last deal through Newegg.
Big and fast what more do you need.

I can recommend it for sure.

This is obviously targeted at truckers and farmers, not fruity at all, I would also assume it is quit rugged and impervious to harsh chemicals.

Back up with a new rebate good through the middle of February.

I received mine yesterday and I'm impressed. :) Very small size, durable construction, and good transfer speeds. The cap has good tension, so it should stay on and not slide off easily.
