Damn, it was that cheap?!

1.35v; low profile. This looks like the closest equivalent to an 8GB version of the now-EOL Samsung super RAM that we'll see for now.

Yes it was, after a similar 10% off any RAM coupon code.

I don't see this stuff getting back to being as cheap (before Black Friday 2013?) soon, so grabbed me some. My ITX rig thanks me even though it doesn't know what to do with the excess.
 
Wow. I'm all over this one. Samsung let us down.

In the time it took me to open my email to copy the RAM coupon code, it removed from my shopping cart and is now listed as OOS. I didn't really need it anyways, just buying to have it as such a good deal.
 
If it doesnt get mailed I get it the next day.
If it goes out with the postal service it takes 3-4 days extra.
 
I snagged two sets so I got 32GB of RAM for $152 w/ free 2 day shipping. Not too bad.

What is the overall verdict on this ram, btw? The reviews look good but I have never owned crucial brand ram.

never owned this ram, but crucial is a top of the line ram company.

crucial-micron ram has worked for me in a lot of other gear.

I had to rma at least 12 sticks of ballistix ddr-2.
The first ddr2 sticks needed 2.1v after a year or so crucial dropped the voltage to 1.8v but the ballistix still had a short life span 6-9 months thats on 3 different mb with different ps.
About that time I switched to gskill and never had a problem again.
Crucial does have a have a quick rma through.

Just found the the memory on my porch at noon today again no one even rang bell these 1.35v sticks are tiny.
 
I ordered my DDR3 early in the sale, around 2PM, and yet it shipped the following day at 10AM. Now I have to wait till Monday to experience the awesomeness. Congrats to everyone who already received theirs.

Yeah, that Ballistix DDR2 debacle is the only trouble that I remember their memory ever having.

Those who got these please feel free to post your results if you tweak them. I'm curious as to how these perform.

Slight increase in hyper pi at 1866 or 933 10-10-10-27
Last time I played with mem timmings were with winbond at cas2.

Quick tweak raised vccsa to 1.0v and the dram to 1.525 2133 or 1066 11-13-13-31 1t
This mem is starting to look even better.
