The only difference is the firmware & 7mm vs. 9mm. Same exact 2Xnm Toshiba Toggle Nand, same controller, and the M3 Pro's PCB even says M3S :biggrin:

Well the M3 Pro is a little newer and faster. Also the M3 512GB was ~$600 until late August, and just dropped from $400 to $370 last week.

5 year warranty! Would definitely have jumped on this had I not just purchased an Intel 330 180GB for the same price (no rebate) about a month ago. Gotta watch some of the new Plextors as they only have 3 year warranties.

I know the deal is dead, but cant help but try to correct the OP's error: this deal was "$189 shipped" and "$139 after $50 MIR", saying $139 shipped is extremely misleading as you still need $189 up front to pay for the product and get it shipped to you while you wait for a $50 rebate to come (which might not happen)

I mean no offense, but go look at the last few pages and you will see that is how everyone does it. AR or After rebate and I could be wrong, but I think everyone is smart enough to know $139.99 shipped AR = $139.99 + AR (up front) or else everyone wouldn't be posting threads exactly like I did. "Shipped" added to a title like mine, implies it's free shipping.


Edit: I just looked at the last two pages and most of them didn't even put how much the rebate was for in the title or OP. The way I posted it is just how it's done.

When you see "$139 shipped" it means you only have to pay $139 to get it shipped to you. None of the examples you gave used that exact phrase "$__ shipped". It's a minor point, but it does matter.

I can virtually guarantee if you leave the door open even a crack here for criticism somebody will walk thru it. I don't think it was the shipping that was the issue it was the fact you already included the mail in rebate in the deal price. Anyway I had no trouble figuring out what you meant in the end. So it's all good for me!

Edit: I knew about this deal since Saturday and I cared quite a bit more about posting it as soon as it went live, so people could get in on it. I even had the rebate link up before newegg did. With that being said, I could care less about what anyone thinks about me good or bad. I was much much more interested in posting this as soon as it went live, so others could take advantage of it.
