This is the cheapest that they've ever been, to my knowledge. These are great little mini-PCs, just add a Kaby Lake (or Skylake) CPU, some SO-DIMM DDR4-2133 (for SKL) or 2400 (for KBL), and either a PCI-E M.2 SSD, or a 2.5" laptop SSD, or both. Then install an OS.
Convenient, small, low-power, great little HTPC. Can do 4K60 with an Active DP-to-HDMI2.0 adapter. (Club3D model around $30 on ebay, some cheaper ones have popped up for $15-20 on sale.) (I'm using the Club3D model, without really any issues.) Also has VGA output, for older monitors, and of course, HDMI1.4, which will do a max of 4K30.
These would be perfect for a small dorm room, or kitchen, or a Mom PC.
Edit: The attraction of these over, say, a NUC or Brix, is that these use regular desktop 6th/7th Gen Core CPUs, with full desktop performance, none of those little dinky "U"-series low-power laptop CPUs.
Note also, that these boards WILL NOT take "Coffee Lake" / 8th-gen Core CPUs, those require a Z370 chipset for support, as of now, so these boards have an H110 chipset. So no cheap i3-8100 quad-cores, although they will take an i5-6400 or i5-7400.
