*DEAD* NEC FE991SB 19" Flat CRT for $208 shipped

My first deal post here. Outpost.com has the biege colored version priced about a hundred dollars less than the black model. Pricing error? No where does it say that it is refurbished. The $208 is after shipping and tax for me. Without tax, it would be under 200 for others. Newegg sells these for $254 plus shipping.

Do you guys think Fry's would have it at this price? If they do, then Burning HOT DEAL!!!

I'm actually in the market for a 19" CRT monitor, would anyone recommend this? Im used to the aperture grille lines, so it doesnt bother me at all.

I have the NEC FP955 and it's a very close cousin to the FE991SB and I can vouch that it is a great monitor. My friend has the FE991SB in black and the monitor looks splendid out of the box. Text is very nice as is the colors (for both of ours).

The only gripe I have, that is found in all monitors under 21" is that at 1600x1200@85Hz on a ATI8500 (pretty decent 2D), the text is a bit too small to read. My monitor has a very slight blurriness to the text, but this could be that I am a stickler and most others won't notice. However at 1280x960, everything is fine and dandy and I would like to say that resolution is a fine balance between all for me at least. I do go back to 1600x1200 when I am in Photoshop.

Finally, while I would recommend the FE991SB, I think you may be interested in buying a flat planel especially if you do lots of text reading. I admit screen fatigue does settle in faster while looking at a CRT than a LCD. This deal nevertheless is pretty warm.

Damn, they removed it for some reason. The only have the black one now for 259. Maybe it WAS a pricing mistake.
