I have been looking at this for a while, ONLY cause its full modular. My PSU is working fine. I got my email today and saw it, went to see if it was the one I had been looking at, sure enough it is. Must resist.

Seasonic X650 Power Supply

$79.99 after $15 MIR

http://www.newegg.com/Special/ShellS...m-_-singleitem

Starts @ 10:00AM PDT

I believe this is $10 cheaper than it has ever been in the past. I was waiting for this to go back on sale, so I'll be in for 1 today.

You are correct, sir.

If this is what you're looking for, buy it. There isn't a single PSU under $130 that's as good as this one.

I don't really need it, it would be purely cosmetic and even then not something I have to get.

Dang I was wanting a 400; but they are still astronomical :( I made a mistake of buying a 400 antec and after 1.5 years the fan is making noise - read the reviews and it is not an uncommon issue :(

It's good but your statement is patently false. Kingwin Platinum series for instance. AP-550 for $85 after rebate and coupon on a recent sale isn't much more expensive, but is slightly more efficient. Not modular though. For that the LZW-550 for $20 more would be better. Those sales are gone for now though, so right now this is the best deal for a Gold/Plat unit.

It may be slightly more efficient but I wouldn't go as far as saying the Kingwin is "better" than the Seasonic especially since you are comparing a 550w unit to a 650w.

You've compared a power supply that isn't even remotely similar. 100W lower capacity, not modular.

I ordered this and a bunch of Cougar CF-V12HPB fans yesterday.

Can't wait to get rid of this bulky, non-modular Corsair GS600 that I've been using for a few years.

I gotta agree with the 100 watt difference being huge. The kingwin may not run 2x hd7970's the seasonic will. I own a few and they do it 24/7 bitcoin mining. Just do not crank up the voltage and they will do it for months on end.

The modular maybe not.

I read up on this deal 1 hour after midnight >_<< Didn't want to chance the mail in rebate since it would say the incorrect date on my receipt :( Ah well, I'll keep my eyes peeled for another PSU deal
