*DEAD* MWAVE AVEXIR 2x2gb ddr3 1333 $45 shipped no rebate

Be careful with this RAM. I bought a set that Memtest found a lot of errors with. The same thing happened with the replacement set that mwave sent me. I finally just returned it for a refund. On SlickDeals a few other people also reported problems.

This was on SlickDeals last night. At that time (and for a little while), you could buy two of them and for each one, you would be e-mailed a $15 off coupon for for use on a future order (no minimum). I had in cart and decided that I'm not in the mood to build right now...but good deal nonetheless.

You can try entering your e-mail address at the end of this link to see if you qualify for a $5.00 off coupon:

You can click on the link and then edit the address in the URL bar.

Cheapy cheap ram is back!!!!

Cant wait for the next unbranded HP deal for 20 bucks...I got 25 pairs of it back then and finally just ran out lol

😵 I only got four or five sticks on those deals (around $6 AR).

You didn't get them when the price went negative (paid to take them up to 5 sticks of 2GB DDR2-800)? Slacking are we! 😛

I think I finally used up my sticks. I only bought 6 total.

As I recall, the HP sticks were DDR2-667. I have a ton of them leftover that I'm thinking of using for unlocked X2 555 BE builds. Is 667 (or an OCed 800) enough since the multi is unlocked? Been a damn long while since I've messed with AMD CPUs.

There was both types but more of the DDR-667 stuff (more vendors and longer running). The 800 stuff was right down there too but you might be right, it might have been the 667 stuff that actually went "better than FREE" for a brief time. I've sold or used most of the stuff by now though.

I felt like I was doing something wrong to take advantage lol...

Not me. I've taken advantage of many, many, many "Pay me to take your stuff" deals over the years. Not so many lately but in the early days of eCommerce, companies were giving away stuff right and left and throw in a rebate or two and boom, paid to take it.
