That's amazing--some folks who ordered on the 29th received better eVGA Superclocked cards while some who ordered earlier haven't received diddly squat yet? It's as though the right hand and the left hand don't know what each other is doing at Dell. It'll be real funny if the folks who received the eVGA's also receive an MSI card.

Like others, my MSI from Dell is still showing an estimated ship date of 12/10. I don't know if this is encouraging or not, but 3 etailers, Provantage I know from experience as being very reputable, show stock in estimate dates of 12-7, 12-14, and 12-20.
So all you kiddies with Dell orders, show a little patience and stop badgering the clueless Dell Indian CSRs. You'll get your toy sooner, maybe later, or maybe not. Hey, it's only a freakin' video card.

So much for the early bird getting the worm - I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that I'll get a card on or near the original time frame. The only reason that I ordered this card now was because it's the first one in a while that was near the started MSRP, if dell doesn't pull through with this, my wife is going to have to find something else to get me cause I'm not paying the inflated prices out there right now.

My order was supposed to ship on 12/10 i called them a couple days ago and the lady said yeah, its backodered to January.. so I canelled and ordered an evga 8600gts... I'll step-up when they come back in stock..

If those getting EVGA's ordered MSI's, it may be that Dell no longer is using MSI's and instead have switched to EVGA. No way to know though. My, personally, i ordered the XFX and the last check on my order earlier this morning said a ship date of 12/11 (ordered on 26th). If they're shipping EVGA's to people who ordered MSI's and NOT going by who ordered first, that's pretty crappy. Then again, it may be they had 100 MSI's in stock (or ordered) and got 300 orders (i'm just making up numbers). Dell called MSI and said 'we want 200 more' and MSI said, no or that they couldn't do it for a long time. Dell then called evga and said 'how fast can we get 200 cards' and evga said we can get you 200 sc'd cards within a week. Dell ordered those and the next 200 people had their orders switched to those and since they came in first, they got theirs first. Those first 100 are still waiting for the MSI's to arrive.

I don't know how likely it is, but it is possible. Ideally, they'd have started at the top of the list and said 'we can get you this instead, faster. Would you rather have it for the same price' - but that would likely take them a long time to do with all the people they'd have to call.

And if they have pushed peoples orders back 2 to 4 weeks and have not updated their orders on the site, that's pretty crappy, too. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt until 12/11 - then I call and if i'm delayed, i complain big time.

You should call then. My order page still shows 12/11 as well, I ordered the XFX on 11/26 - same as you. The CSR I talked to last said its been pushed back to 12/24. I asked why the date on the order page still says 12/11 and she told me flat out that the date on the order page won't change until after 12/11. To clarify, I said "So on 12/11 its going to say 12/24." She said yes

I ordered mine around midnight on the 24th and he was nice enough to bump me to next business day shipping.

I don't recall what the pricing on it was, but I want backup when I call dell and see if they'll fill my XFX order with an MSI card and honor the price the MSI card was the day I bought the XFX card. Just a price might work as they should be able to look it up, but if you have a screenshot or cached page it would be better.

I tried to get an upgrade to overnight, but they said they would have to cancel the order and re-enter it since I paid with EPP. Of course I passed on yet another excellent option provided to me by the exceptional customer service people at Dell. These same people that transfer me to a manager who never answers, tell me this card is discontinued and that the order will be canceled, tell me that the card won't ship until 12/19 and then tell me it will ship on 12/10 at the latest.

I think there were two replies to this topic when I ordered my card from Dell on 11/24. I should be one of the early people in on the deal. Like others, my estimated ship date still shows 12/10. I did get sick of waiting for a card though, and finally had a EVGA superclocked 8800GT overnighted from Newegg. I haven't cancelled the Dell order. The charge is still showing on my Dell account. I'm curious to see how this all turns out.
