Great find. I picked up 2 of the MSI cards. $440 after taxes

I was waiting for the Evga card to get back in stock but the price keeps going up and up. I did read 2 reviews about this card which helped to make my decision:

http://www.driverheaven.net/reviews/8800GTs/index.php (this is a good review which compares 4 different 8800gt cards)

http://www.tweaktown.com/revie...aphics_card/index.html

The way I figure is $207 is about $30 less than the EVAG superclocked version is going to sell for when all this price gouging stops. It really pisses me of to see stuff selling for more on newegg than on EVGA.com. And that all I have to say about that.

I did try to use an additional Dell 10% off coupon and it would not let me stack them. So has anyone out there reveied the MSI card yet?

Just bought it for $207.99 + tax and free shipping.

However, the ship date is estimated 12/13/07.

I ordered one too last time around.

I can just hear the calls for "Class action lawsuit" come Dec 12th as Dell starts sending out all the delay notices...

The last order that I had from Dell that was shipped third party wasn't updated until a week after I had received it. I'm not saying that they'll ship before or after the 10th, just that Dell is slow to update shipping status from third party shipments (based on past history).

So, we won't get a tracking number? Just gotta prey that someone is at home when the delivery guy comes along to drop it off and leave it unattended at your doorstep?

Anyone see anything else on their order other than "in production"?

According to the site it will be "In Production" until it ships, which was estimated as Dec. 10.

Well you'll know when it ships when they charge you, won't you? My payment is still "pending."

I thought I saw someone else say they charge you right away?

You'll get the tracking number, but it usually appears after you receive your product! :p

The deal is only dead because the 20% off gaming accessories deal has expired. You can still get the card for it's normal price.

I've got to admit, the 8800GT 512MBer is pretty much the card I thought I'd buy next. If I didn't score on the X1950Pro at CC for $72, I'd be asking for this card from the wife for Christmas:)

Good job! Since I ordered on the 24th, I won't be using that now. But seeing it still being offered... and at that price point... gives me hope they'll actually be shipping these soon. Someone that ordered a 3870 on Dell had a 7 day turnaround from ordering until tracking information. I don't know if that was "drop shipped" (3rd party) like this, but I'm keeping my eye on December 1st to see if the status changes at that point.

One of the 2 BFG 8800GT OC I got at BB died (bad fan) , I got a refund. And while I was contemplating where to get another for my SLI, I got 2 of these MSI 8800GT ordered from Dell. Thanks OP. And when they get here I will be returning my other BFG to BB for a refund also. The BFG cards ran very hot, the fans were set to 29% default and even with Nvidia ntune it was difficult to get both fans to run higher speeds at the same time. Also appeared to have too much thermal paste on them. Paid $525 with tax and BB 10% off for BFG , Paid $436 for the 2 MSI cards shipped. I will get $89 back and 2 games and better hardware with a higher OC. Thats what I'm talkin about!Hells Yeah!

Did you guys get charged for this thing yet? I just checked my credit card balance and it seems like I was charged, but I didn't get any details yet, just the balance.

EPP = Employee purchase plan. It is for the employees of enterprise partners of Dell. The company I work for buys hundreds of systems from Dell each year. As an employee benefit we get a 17% discount on almost anything we buy. But most times the sales prices I find on Anandtech, Bensbargains or edealinfo are cheaper than what we get through this program. This is the first time I've seen anything more than 17% discount through the EPP.
