I don't think so. The MB is a very small LPX form factor with lots of on board connectors sticking out of the back.

Except for the fact that the NetVista is a $1000+ machine designed to run quietly in an office environment and this is an $80 barebones case designed to be small and cheap.

You might. Though the problem with playing with sff boards and cases is that you might run into clearance issues, either from the case ending up too close to the hs or capacitators and what not in the way.

Lanyap : Sorry I am about to hitch hike/hijack your thread. I was wondering whether anyone here is considering another MSI item.

And throw in a hard disk, and you are half way thru to getting a working machine up.

And if you like there is a couple of low profile AGP video card(20-170bucks anything from GF4 to Quadro4 NVS 200 to radeon 9200) that can be found thru pricewatch as well as low profile gigabit network card for 40 bucks.


But I believe the Metis is alot longer then the book PC and also thicker.(how much I dont really know)
Also the metis is a mATX if I am not wrong.

That Metis is nice looking. The biggest difference in size is that the Metis is 100mm deeper/longer than the MS6215. The Metis also has an AGP slot although it is low-profile.

10 cm is indeed a pretty big size difference.(Personally would prefer something as small as possible, but my left brain says that I am suppose to buy a AMD proccessor soon before AMD files chapter 11)

Anyway, I have a 512 dDr2100 ram lying around so, getting metis 266 would have been a better choice.

In any case, I already have a pundit, which is a cool little system too. (this is actually for a kid in the neighbourhood.)

BTW: I dont think that there is any plan at all by manufacturers to bring out a low profile GF4 Ti4800 or better.
(ops, doesnt matter the kid using this system isnt suppose to be playing games rather, more like content creation jobs.

The converter from CompGeeks works on this to allow Tualatin cpu's, but you have to have a very thin heatsink/fan. I put in a 1.3 and it sees it as a 1.3. Now I just have to find a smaller cd/dvd drive as the ones I have don't fit (too long).
