This is a 19in NEC, nice CRT monitor that my brother got in Dec 2004. I assume the warranty has expired.
The monitor powers up, but only shows a thin, short, horizontal white line in the middle of the screen. This happens when the system is powered off, and I try to bring up the monitor's menu, so I am positive it isn't his video card.
If this was a POS, I'd just recommend he buy a new LCD. But he doesn't use his computer often enough to warrant the cost, and this is a good model CRT. Does anyone fix these? Somewhere I could take it to get it looked at and/or fixed?
