Dead mobo?

Out of nowhere the other day, my brother went to turn on the computer and it would just stop at the POST screen. It lists the BIOS. the MOBO, and the processor, and it won't go any further. I can't press delete to enter setup or anything either. At first I thought maybe it was just something simple like my keyboard fried and it won't startup because of that, because if i don't have one plugged in it won't get past the BIOS screen, but i usually get a "no keyboard" message. So after trying a different keyboard I'm now thinking maybe my MOBO is toast. This system has worked like a charm for like 4 years now. What do you guys think? Is there anything else it could be? Any things i should try to test it?

Edit: Just realized i forgot to give you some specs.
Mobo: Asus M2N SLI deluxe
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 x2 4600+
RAM: 2 Gigs Corsair XMS 2
PSU: Fortron AX450 PN
GPU: Nvidia 7900 GT

Lemme know if you need anything else.

Just tried clearing the CMOS. Pretty much the same, except now it goes to the full screen name page instead of the post screen. If I hold down delete to enter setup it says "entering setup" but then it never goes anywhere from there. Hmmm....

Sounds like a dead motherboard. Any storms lately? You might try
reseating the memory sticks and clearing the BIOS one more time.
Also try disconnecting any devices accept the hd. Like your DVD or
CD unit.

maybe this will help check power cables going to drives make sure all are in tight check sata cables too this problem deffinately can be caused by loose cable if not issue next shutdown power pull bios batt and replace with new if its old or test with volt meter I toss em anything lower than 2.7 volts or so while inside case look for capacitors that have leaked or crowned tops if it has oldstyle caps. Crowned caps or leaking and bye bye mobo. Good luck.
