Nope, you can register the key through Direct 2 Drive or you can register it with EA and use their download manager.

Even though it's the same Engine .. I like MOH multiplayer better than BFBC2 multiplayer. I'm pretty sure that BF3 will play closer to MOH than BCBFC2

Man... $6 is very cheap even for a "meh" reviewed game. If it was universally hated I wouldn't bother, but reviews were mixed enough to give it an honest shot.
