Just got mine delivered via UPS. And it is the D740X-6L as marked on the drive itself.

Now I just need to figure all this rebate stuff out!

Mine came today too, it's the D740X-6L so it's ATA 133 even though the website when it was up stated that it was a ATA 100 drive. So that makes me a bit happier... I just hope at least one rebate goes through on this drive.

Sending all 3 off today though

Thanks.
I sent the packing slip, which has the price and shipping date on it.

Woohoo! At last, I'm going to get the HDD. The funny thing is... At first, the sharpie pens will be arriving on 11/22. But now it's pushed back to 11/26, and the HDD just showed up today on record that it's arriving on 11/22. =P

My order never been fiiled, so I called Staples.
Their excuses;
1. Have to use staples card.
2. Coupons can be use only if they mail it the code to you.

SO I cancelled the order.

Okay, this is strange. When I check my order on Staple's website, it says that the HDD would arrive today and the sharpie arriving on 11/26. It seems that the product arrival times has been reversed. Instead, the sharpie came today instead of the HDD. Has this happened to anybody?

Receipt must include a date that falls within the promotional period. No reproductions of the UPC code will be accepted. Maxtor is not responsible for late, lost, misdirected or postage due mail. If terms and conditions are not met, rebate will not be sent.

.......from the rebate link, good deal for $40, you would be naive to think your going to get it for 20 or even free, unless you are one lucky sob

What the heck! I got my HD today, and it included a form that says 'THIS IS NOT AN INVOICE', and its not even in my NAME!!!

If Mike Oppenneer of Grandville, MI is on this forum, I'll trade you for my invoice (for Tom White of Sedalia, MO 65301)

Gah, who to call about this?!?

Don't print that page out. Call them and have them fax or mail you a copy of the invoice. Rebates won't accept a printout of that screen.

I have recieved double rebates from staples before. For the envision 17" flat CRT. One for $80 the other for $50 - both recieved within 3 weeks from the date mailed! Luckily for me, the monitor box had two UPC's.

In this situation, I am not sure if they will accept the copy but it is worth trying.

like other posters, I will be sending the original UPC along with the $30 rebate and a copy with the $20 rebates.

RE: the invoice.

I have always printed the order status page to send with my staples rebates and it has always worked.

In my experience, staples has never sent an invoice.

I called my local Staples about the problem, and talked to the manager, he had me come buy with it and made a receipt for it.

Correct. They always send a "This Is Not An Invoice" and that is what you send in with the rebate.

Read the Best Buy ad, and what suphu (master??? Vietnamese maybe?) said was wrong. Best Buy has it $59.99 after two $20 rebates. No instant rebates whatsoever. :(
