I bought two (2) copies of the Railroad TycoonII Platinum edition - one in the retail box and the second simply in a jewel case. I plan on using one as a stocking-stuffer and I'm curious as to what's inside the retail box version of the program. Is there anything in the box other than the CD-ROM in a jewel case????

It's really nice to see the Christmas spirit here!

The game is actually very nice, and I prefer it on my PC over what it may have been like on the Xbox due to the ultra high resolution and anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering I can use on the PC. Why can't they enable AA on these Xbox games, surely the GeForceX GPU can handle it at 640x480?

Man! I didn't know this deal was dead and tried to get in oon it today without any luck. If you haven't had a taker on the game yet send me a PM. I'd email you but you have no profile or PM enabled.

No joy here yet.

FedEx, UPS and the USPS have all been here already today so unless Santa brings the goodies tonight, CompUSA has once again failed me. Its still OK becuse I expected it. Not complaining, just hope I DO get my order.

EDIT: Have to take it back!! Special FedEx courier just delivered it. Full retail package!!
Not bad delivered to the house for a grand total of $5.30. Know a lot of you guys did better but Im real happy.

Happy Holidays All.

I have the worst news yet. My wife bought it locally for $4.99 and wrapped it for X-mas. I opened it this morning and the box was fricking EMPTY!!! I know I'll get grief from the Manager at CompUSA when I try and exchange it. I'm pretty pissed off.

Like I said, my wife bought it for me. It was sealed and only contained the cardboard sleeve. I didn't really pay attention; but I thought I'd look at the instructions while the rest of the family was playing with their gifts and walla The box had no CD, no instructions, no CD case, just the cardboard sleeve.

I got my copy on Tuesday the 23rd. I was at OfficeMax and picked up Monopoly Tycoon(PM to BB for $4), got home, was bored so decided to read the manual. The box was empty! I didn't notice how light it was, the checkout clerk didn't notice, and the Manager who did the PM didn't notice. LOL. Luckily I live about 5 minutes away and they were open until midnight. When the box is so big, and if they don't put anything in it but a CD in a sleeve, it's hard to tell if it's empty or not. But I'll be shaking the boxes in the future. Time to install and play!
