Getting married on Saturday, and all I have to say is IT'S FINALLY OVER!!!

I wouldn't wish wedding planning on my worst enemy, it is the most miserable, life sucking experience I have ever been through. Now we are just looking forward to the party and honeymoon. 12 days on the Explorer of the Seas, and my first real vacation in about 7 years.

For anyone thinking about going down this road, I have only one word of advice.. ELOPE!!

That is all.

Pics of future wife?

Don't forget to find a good place to store your balls... you may need them in the future. 😉

congrats!

I think you made your first mistake by getting involved in the wedding planning. I didn't have to do a thing, the wife took care of it all.

Same here... except the smiling and nodding and writing checks.

Aww, I thought this was going to be a zombie thread 🙁

Hehe, congrats! 😀 After my own wedding and helping several friends as well, the "elope" advice is actually REALLY GOOD advice. Not only does it save you a lot of stress, but also a ton of money - my friend's wedding ran $25,000, and he's still in college :Q Elope then have a party with your family and friends after you get back  😉

I did not enjoy all the little bs and detail we had to deal with for our wedding but it was small (about 45 people) so it wasn't that big of an issue.

That being said it literally couldn't have gone better on the day of. Best weather we had all that month, no issues whatsoever, just smiles and laughs all around from start to finish.

Only thing I really did care for was all the photos, I was so sick of smiling for the camera by the end of the ceremony but I put up with it for just that day.

The best part was the after party we had where everyone dressed down and we all just hung out and drank into the early morning hours.

I've never seen my MIL so drunk
