Logitech Harmony 880 Universal Remote with color LCD and rechargeable battery on sale for $249 - $120 coupon (check SD for code) - $20 rebate = $109 with free shipping.

This is even sweeter if you have a $35 off $250 that came in snail mail which would make this (after $6 CDR filler) about 90 bucks.

i got one from ebay for 35 off 300. i bought a kingston elite pro 2GB CF card and this 880, all for 166 and theres a 20 dollar rebate coming in for the remote

I KNOW that a lot of you LIKE this thing.
So, I bought one.

It now gathers dust with all my other remotes.

The buttons on it are WAY too small for my fingers and
they all run together with no 'feel' for where one stops and
another begins. Its impossible to use without looking at it
and I wanted a remote like my old, dated, MX-500 that I could use
mindlessly to surf with - This is NOT the remote of my dreams by ANY means!
And the thing is always beeping in its cradle, and the light is going off and
on by itself and is distracting in our dark theater room.

If you have hands larger than a teenage girl's, this remote is just useless.
IMHO, of course.

Can this thing replace a MS Media Center 2005 remote too? I tried to look for a manual on their website but could not find it.

probably not? most htpc remotes are through RF radio frequency. although logitech now has a new harmony remote that can replace both infrared and RF remotes... its a higher end model than the 880

Yes, most definitely. The normal MS MCE remote uses an IR receiver, so the Harmony 880 can control it.

Every MCE remote I have ever seen is IR based. Maybe you should tell us which one is RF based?

Thanks, got in for one.

$249 remote - $120 coupon - $35 off 250 coupon + $11.65 25-pk Verbatim 16x DVD-R filler

Came out to $118.71 after tax. After 3% fatcash and the rebate it should be about $95 for the remote and some DVD-Rs, awesome!

Thanks for the heads up on this one! I have been looking at those for a while now and been debating if I wanted to get one. This made the decision easy. I'm not sure if it will replace my Home Theater Master MX-800 but it might at least be used in the regular TV room.
