Is Oblivion worth the time? Never played it, currently enjoying skyrim, I heard many people were so disappointed with Oblivion when it came out.

(I am not asking is it worth 6 bucks, but is it worth the time.)

As an RPG fan, I thoroughly enjoyed Oblivion. Never finished it though. I figured if you never played Skyrim, it would be a good place to start (Oblivion). But I imagine Skyrim would surpass it in just about every aspect. So if you start off with Skyrim it may be difficult to turn back. I wouldn't be buying Skyrim until it's in the bargain bin though since I'm so far behind in my library of games.

Edit: And of course at the price of a McDonald's meal it's an absolute steal.

I loved oblivion, figure I have 150+ hours in 2 play throughs. Your going to want a few graphic mods (mostly texture packs) to spruce up the game a bit.

Oblivion was excellent when I played it, but I tried Morrowind afterwards, and couldn't get into it. So you might enjoy Oblivion, or you might be spoiled by Skyrim.

Of course, the "bottomless bag" mod helped a whole lot. 😀
