Dead LEDs in Case

I recently moved MB and company to a more compact ATX case (used). On the front panel, the Power and Reset buttons work fine and the card reader seems to be in order. Same with the USB plugs. However, despite following my MB makers diagram, I cannot get the case LEDs to function.

The new case's HDD LED connectors had only two openings, where the old was 3 (which matched the diagram) so I stole the HDD LED from my old case and plugged it in. Still no love. No ideas on why the Power LED won't work.

What could potentially stop these LEDs from getting power? Obviously, they could have been DOA, but the person who gave me the case says he had no problems. Other pins on the FPanel socket work. Why not these two? (well 5, technically)

The PC powers and boots fine. It's just the dang lights (which I guess is not crucial, but I do like to see when my HDD is working). :colbert:
Any ideas are very much appreciated!

Here's my F Panel Diagram:

LEDs only work in one direction, sometimes putting it in the other way round (where it plugs into the motherboard), fixes it, as the + must connect to the +, and the - to the -.
Worth a try, anyway.

Also, there can be compatibility issues, as some things use 2 pin spacings, and others 3 pin spacings. E.g. I have seen power status Leds with 2 and 3 pins.
Some motherboards have both 2 and 3 pin connections available, for your convenience, to solve this problem.

+1 with soft..

unless the LED was designed for dual polarity, it will only light when placed in proper charges.

try flipping it and see if the LED will light on.

Try turning the pins around. Leds work differently wen the current is reversed. Of course it could just be not working.

Power supply?

Motherboard is faulty?
Bios setting?
You have the hard drive plugged into the wrong connector?

It use to be that you had 2 ide connections or you had 2 HD light Indicators. So maybe something in the bios assigns certain ports to the activity lights for the motherboard.
