My old laptop just died, anybody knows where I can get it fixed than sending it back to the manufacturer? It's an old dell with 700 p3... I have some schoolwork that I saved in it too 🙁
 
I plugged it in and nothing happens.. they're might have been a little short circuit (spark) when it died🙁
 
You can still get the data off it. You just need to get a notebook ide to normal ide adapter. You can get one at various places including coputer geeks.
 
You sure it's not under warranty still? Lots of Dell's came with a 3 year warranty. Sounds like a power problem. Do you have another power adapter you can try?
