Basically, if you get these in store, you make $5 after rebate!
Does the $10 rebate also require the original UPC code?
Yes, but there are words that say copies of UPC are acceptable when there's a manufacturer rebate. It's definitely worth a shot. Although, my liteon 411s failed to complete the burn on the first one I tried.....

The $10 rebate is for Khypermedia 25-Pk DVD+R not the Khypermedia 25-Pk DVD-R disc that are no sale.

Here's the $10 Khypermedia rebate (rebate #62) LINK

I was fortunate to be early enough to get the $4.99 AR deal and my liteon 411s (FSOF firmware) burned the first of my new Khypermedia DVD-R discs perfectly using DVDXCopy Platinum 3.1.1.

cmccrkn - can you check the media code on the disks you got? I have the same burner and firmware and the burn fails at the end for me. I'm curious if your disks are different than mine. I have CMCMAG.AF1 as the media code.

Khypermedia is indeed one of the worst brands on the market, one real example of one getting what one pays for.......:)

My Sony DRU-500A could NEVER recognize them no matter what firmware was inserted.....:(

I'm thinking about getting in on this deal until you said it was the same media as the Memorex! I bought 10pack of 4x Memorex at BB for $25 and my Samsung DVD 5 disc changer won't even load them!!

Those of you with a Pioneer A06 should get in on the TDK 2x DVD-R deal, 10 for $14.99 at Staples. I've found these burn at 4x speed, perfect on the Pioneer burner and work well in my Samsung player.

are you using nero to burn?? what about your ASPI, is it up to date?

I have the same media code as you, and the one I made burned fine on 411S with FSOF here, using recordnowmax with 4.08 px engine update

in kprobe: PI max 80, PO max 13

not sure if that's good or bad PI/PO scores, but it plays perfectly in my mintek dvd player

Thanks cmccrkn and stingygrrl - you have the same burner and firmware as I do. There must be something messed up with my system. Hopefully I can straighten things out. What aspi version are you guys using? I currently have 4.60, I'm wondering if I should start using 4.71.

Aspi 4.60 is considered to be the best. I wouldn't upgrade to 4.71.

soundforbjt,

I used DVDInfoPro and got less info. Of course mine is the free version. Do you get more info from the paid version?

so are the imation discs all ricoh's including the +RW?

ps. memorex +R's that i picked up at bb when they had the 50 discs for $50 sale were ricoh's and they've burned fine on my lite-on 411s so far (as long as you got the memorex lids that were rounded at the top)

Yes, it looks that way, but you could try to order by phone (1-800-633-4236) and see if that well work.

tsowen,

I didn't get as much info from using the same software. I guess I' ve got some experimenting to do unless you have some pointers. Thanks for the help.

I bought these on sunday morning first thing and just got around to burning my first copy using them. Worked like a charm, they play beautifully on my DVD player and for $.20 a piece it is WELL worth it.
