Apparently the dev/pub uploaded a devs build on to Steam
attachment.php

LOL - that is a major stuff up 🙂 - Guessing they are glade they did not release it over the weekend when no one would have been in the office to realise and fix the problem 🙂

It would be funner still (can not read the artical from here) if they did the same to the disk release 🙂

So I changed the interact key to e and the flashlight key to f. The problem is that it never unbound the f so whenever I turned on the flashlight it would also interact with the item you were looking at.

Last time a game I played had that problem it was FarCry2 and the crappy console port it was. At least they got around to patching it, but by then I had already onsold the game. I had to be fast as the selling price at the time was at $20 (down from the rrp of $80+ in this country).

I think it took them a week or two to get around to fixing that bug. Not 100% sure if it was because it was "hard" to do or they wanted to release a bug fix addressing several issues at once. Either way, was not impressed.

From what I am reading on the steam forums, its just the steam version that is having the issues. People that bought the boxed version seem to be having a lot less problems.

But there seem to be some underlying issues across the board, such as open mics in multiplayer, no field of view adjustments, and crashing to the desktop when set over a certain resolution.

It's a Steamworks game. It's all Steam - it's those who pre-loaded.

Maybe you should go.

The publisher sent one version to steam, and another version to the DVD replicators.

The version you buy at wal-mart is going to be different then what you download from steam.

Thread turned Ironic rather fast. Y'all see the wisdom of a Tuesday Release now?

Yes, LOL! and not even last tuesday or even next, needs more time in the oven.

I'm thankful I didn't buy this piece of crap, steam only allows for one refund and I got mine with that Medal of Honour.

A little update on this. The correct version is now live on Steam and the dev is going to make up it up to those who purchased the PC version, though how, we don't know yet, probably some more free DLC I imagine.

I wonder what happens to us poor people that are waiting for Steam keys. 😛 As a note, Steam doesn't have any more keys to give out, so GMG can't do it until Valve generates more.

How are the RPG elements in the game?
Do you have multiple ways to biuld one character or each character has it's own "build"?

If the RPG elements are well developped I might grab it.

I put in a good 2 hours just now and when it comes to creating a build, you have 3 different skill trees to put points into. You achieve these points every time you level up and you have about 3 or 4 different characters to choose from.

When it comes to customizing weapons, its a bit like Dead Rising 2. Find parts, craft weapons. Haven't been able to craft weapons yet, so I cant tell you how crazy they get.

Are the skills fun to use? Are they varied to a point where I would want to create the same character 3 times and try all 3 trees?

Fury skill is bad ass. Screen goes red and you start choppin shit up. One thing I like about Borderlands is you can pay to respec. I don't know if you can do that in this game. I do find myself interested in seeing what other potential builds there are.

I played a game and one guy did run off on his own. But I think it was because we were all new. Played another game and everyone stuck together. After 2 people left me and the other guy did a driving mission together and it was fun. Took turns running over zombies.

FURY is badass. When surrounded by a horde. I love the brass knucks coming out and just crushing them. To the earlier post... I got a wooden nail stick blueprint early. Sorry, I dont remember where. And I made one just as SOON as I got nails (It is TEADIOUS but in SP, which is all I played as I have the steam version and MP was not playable) ya GOTTA open up most suitcases and boxes. Sorry... that's life on the island.
AND DONT SELL STUFF LOL. One mission later on, I needed "X"... I had like a half dozen bottles. Guy goes "I need a bottle of "X". Augh.. I sold them all for a whoping 16 bucks or so.
Playing as Sam B... I am rolling with a knife (Which I throw) and a baton full of nails and a kick butt hammer and rage.
Died 4 times so far. Didnt pick up the pattern/direction for grapplig.

I LOVE breaking the arms of a zombie and watching him trying to flail at me....

Wow, a "my bad" gift from Steam? That be cool. I cant wait for the haters when it (if) it comes. "Man, All I got was a ......... "
It wont be enough for most to be sure. And the occasional wildcard will state "we should start a class action suit...." Love those people as WELL as the boycotters.

Oh well, had to give an update on my FIRST 2 AM morning session.
About 4 hours. So far. Loving it. CANT WAIT FOR MP.

Please people! If I ever start to act like this guy someone please put a bullet in my head! LMAO

Ok, will do.

But you have to admit, the part where the lady is running down the road flopping her arms round is pretty funny.

And they guy saying stuff like "this is what a polished $60 game is supposed to look like". "That is what I look like while running, so that is what my character should look like." LOL!!!!

The lady looked like she is a hunchback with a steel rod inserted in her back.
