Well, even after my own advice I had to try it so I broke out a one time use CC number ...

Here is the confirmation order I got ...

Part# A6836A#0D1
Manufacturer HEWLETT PACKARD
Description FACTORY INTEGRATION-FOR 856278
Shipping Method TRUCKING
Qty. 1
Unit Price $.01
Extended Price $.01
ItemTotal: $0.01

Assuming, for a second, that it actually arrives... what will you DO with it? Do Itanium2's quality as keychain material yet? Ebay? Or is it possible to actually find a uni-proc workstation mobo for these things? I do know that at least Linux is publically available for them, and some as-yet-upcoming IA-64 versions of WindowsXP/Server2003. Neat tech toy, if nothing else. 🙂

I dont think this is for a processor. Itd be funny if its not and the tards that order 10k get billed full.

it's not.. and maybe if we'd read the thread from the forums we stole this from we would find that out

Oh, so this is basically just a line-item for the work-order, to factory-install an additional CPU at build time, basically.

Maybe if it were stolen from another forum, this other forum could be read. . . . so what is this other forum in question?

Maybe you should pull your head out of that dark place and stop assuming things . . .

This is an amusing topic. I ordered 2 Itaniums, mind you, at fair market value. Nobody wants them damn things. HP is giving Itanium machines away for FREE to large software manufacturers in hopes SOMEBODY will port to the thing.
Send me a manual or something crappy? Nah, I don't think so. The product description clearly stated a 1GHz 400FSB CPU, it better turn up 🙂 Class action if no CPU! False whatever! BBB, USPS mail fraud, we'll fight the war on false Itanium advertisement!

As I said, amusing 🙂

idiots. Wht not order like 1 or 2. They will seriously know something is wronf when people order 100000 or them. If you order 1 or 2 you have a better chance of having them ship

yea but then when 100 people order them one night that wont spark any cooincidence with the company

...IDIOT
