Wow. Don't really need a new processor though. (Plus Fry's only ships with DHL last I checked, which really screws me over.)

ok just ordered 1.... what MB to get now? ASUS P5Q Pro looks nice for this chip.... bit on the expensive side though

Do a online buy with instore pickup if you have a frys near by, if the first processor they bring you at the human-monkey- Loss prevention cage is the old stepping then send it back till you get a new one, Frys gets a ton of shipments of everything thing so odds are they have newer and older chips.

Nah, just wait for nehalem, unless you are doing high end stuff - its all about the cache.
The benches would be higher - but thats not real world
Of course, If you make good money and $140 is peanuts, then why not?
