Couldn't resist!

Unfortunately I have a problem to straighten out. When I created an account upon check-out, it added an extra IDEQ to my cart. Lets hope they get the email in time to fix things up before placing an authorization on my card. I really only need one 😛

Well, if you really get stuck with it, I am sure that you can always sell it on ebay and make about $100.

same thing happened to me Averox, but I decided to keep it. It's easy to throw a few parts in there whenever you need another cheap system fast.

Perhaps, perhaps 🙂

Extra money would be good. Another system wouldn't be bad also considering how cheap you can buy a used 754 3000+ for and with ram being so cheap after rebates. We'll see 😉

i see they slightly changed the description of the item now :

"Brown Box w/CD Driver and Cable Only"

hope they are going to include the hsf with it

Boy, I hope it comes with everything it should 🙁

And my order got corrected. I just hope we don't get ripped off of things that are necessary.

Same thing here. I emailed them and hopefully they get back to me quickly. I don't want two, just one that works! Stupid me, just sold off my 2800+ AND 3000+. Sigh...

Got mine today, had a sticker on the side of the case that I'll need to remove but no biggie, inside of the case looks like it's only been used for a short time, almost new.
Hopefully ZZF will come through and have my 2800 A64 here by Friday that I ordered today(8AM EST).
I wonder if this thing could even dream of a 6800 of some kind running off that meager 200w power supply.

Maybe I should have taken both from my order! Oh well it's fixed and gone out now.
Shipped June 15th, estimated to arrive June 20th. C'mon man, Jersey is right next to me!

Oakenfold: How about accessories and stuff?

Hey Averox,
It came with
Driver CD
Power cord
power cable for serial ata
ata serial cable
pack of screws
front bezel for one 5.25 slot
HSF is included with mine.
Haven't really looked around inside the case that much so not sure what else I ought to be loooking for, appears to be all the accessories included as indicated by the manual.

Edit: STotaro: The deal is dead unfortunately

Awesome dude, thanks for the reply 🙂

Got one of mine in today.
Driver CD
Power Cord
SATA cable
SATA Power cable
HSF

My front bezel says "CISNET" and there's a sticker on the side that gives an abbreviated component list, so it looks like they were selling these as preassembled packages, then decided to take them apart and sell as barebones. I'm just about to boot her up and install XP. Wish me luck!

Did you guys have any traces of thermal compound on the HSF surface where its supposed to be attached to the processor?

"components" list as in a UPC type sticker with this at the top: "ZT AMD 3000+ 512/120 DVD/R"

Got XP Pro installed, working on the drivers now. BTW, I have a Newcastle 2800, a gig of Corsair VS, an old Maxtor 20gig, and an AIW 9800PRO in there. Had a bit of a scare at first 'cause the power led was on but power button wouldn't work, but I guess you have to hold down that power button for a bit to get it to boot *sigh*.

Yeah just a tad but no worries for me. Every HSF I've ever used, once you put thermal goop on there, you always have a trace left. I just reapply AS and go with it.

That's odd. I don't have to do that. See if you can upgrade the latest version of the bios as well. I did it and now, I get the via serial adaptor initialized upon startup as well.

I had the 9800Pro in there but there was a problem with the card. Whenever I would load the driver for the card, the picture would go black. I exchanged it for a 6600GT. Right now I have a FX5200 in it and the thing is crusing along fine.
Oh and thanks for the reply about the HSF and thermal compound. Mine didnt have anything on it. In fact when I took the HSF out, there was a piece of foam so it was brand new I guess. Doesnt matter tho as long as it works.
