Right lets blame bush for the economy...

Get a job at subway or the movies. It shouldn't be too hard.

Can't say I feel sorry for you. I did until you said the Economy was Bush's fault, then I just suddenly began to think that I don't care. Sorry, but I am being honest.

The cause of the recession may not be Bush's fault, but trickle down economics doesn't work. Giving money to the rich doesn't help the poor.

dont be so sure, everywhere in my town was full w/lists...all the grocery stores, all fast food, ANYTHING. I turned in apps to dozens of places, made calls, showed up multiple times etc etc etc and only got a job cause a friend of a friend tipped me off to somewhere where a temp didnt show up for work at a machine shop and I called at the perfect time.
Otherwise there was like nothin out there (McMinnville, OR for reference, but I went in to Salem as well...)

How bad could it have been for you when he wasn't in office. You were what 14? This has nothing to do with Bush lovers and everything to do with your lack of a skill set that can help you get/keep a job. Edit: read a comment wrong

I think you should take the whole bottle of Zoloft and then go drinking. That should balance you out.

Have you considered self employment? People always need their lawn mowed or their yards raked. You can probably pick up a used lawnmower for cheap and start mowing lawns in your neighborhood. People will easily pay $20 - $50 to get their lawn mowed.

but ya that is the best advice as of right now :)

I was poor throughtout most of my life. Since my family immigrated here, we started out with nothing. We pride in the fact that we didn't use food stamps or medicaid... govt resources to have a better life. It was hard work, we deprived ourselves extremities we wanted. We never went to trips, graduation ceremonies, it meant the time my family and I worked to gain money would be to waste.. so we can have a taste of the high life. Only recently have we bought a house ( took 13 years in fact) and I bought a 2001 model car. (and my computers.. well I found in the garbage..)

I had no shame in being poor, wearing payless shoes.... I would usually take a shopping cart from waldbauns.. search around brooklyn for cans... bottles.. in apartment complexes.. I would raise about $100 on a good day. I must tell you I felt depressed at your age also.. not having girls..cars..nintendos.. but I never wanted them or needed them. Your depression is only fuled by what you don't have (and don't need anyhow) My suggestion.. do the BEST in school... think about what you CAN DO instead of what you want to do.. or want to have like everyone else. Its always a dilemma when a person wants to be an individual but also wants to be like everyone else. If you can get better internally.. not with objects that mean nothing once they are purchased. Make yourself worth something.

heh this reminded me of tyson saying "im on' zoe-loft so i don' kill you mo'fukers"

but bush is partialy responsible for the the current state of the economy. The recession is due to to overvaluation of common stock in the late 90s and the cyclic nature of capitalism

That being said bushes little war agenda and terrorist witch hunt is messing up customer confidence and general consumption part of GDP and de facto killing any chance of recovery. Tax cuts dont work if people dont spend the money...

Also money wise ... i never had the problem of being poor but i worked to pay my fun stuff (read : computers) and what not else. My family moved to US from europe in 99 so i had no savings to begin with. I got a job at a tech company in 2000 and made about 2 grand. From that i used my mad ebay skills and got it up to 5 g just buying and selling stuff. Now im back to 2g due to my car (damn insurance, gas, maintenance...tickets :) ), but im working my way to make enough for next years rent.

Right now i own 2 cars, one powerbook, 2 ibooks, 20in lcd, digicam and some other random crap. I paid for all of that, less the 2 cars;)

Oh and my parents make 200k+ a year and theyre making me pay rent for college
