Reading HP's feedback after tonights touchpad sale cracks me up! People that were actually able to get in and buy one or two, are now whining about the high shipping costs! And a few who jumped the gun and ordered them before they reset the prices got their orders cancelled! ROFL!!!

I posted about the UK site 18 minutes after sale went live...right after my order went thru.

Well I can tell you that HP is going to be LAST company I will look to when I replace my laptops, desktops, monitor, printers, etc at my company.

wow, all because of a single poor ordering experience on a sale closeout item? dont worry, you wont be able to buy hp hardware soon anyway.... theyre going all software as far as i knew

They reversed course and are keeping their PC division.

nah...probably give it as a gift to the wife. I'm just looking to jailbrake it or install android on it.

I gave mine to the wife to check emails and Facebook on so she wouldn't want to use my laptop all the time. I use it for occasionally looking up info while watch TV as well, although for some reason fantasy football on Yahoo destroys the built in browser.

I read they only had about 10,000 of them. A rather small amount considering how much they sold at their last fire sale.

These were refurbished, not new. So if they sold 250,000 during the fire sale, 10,000 probably indicates 1 out of 25 needed to be fixed. Who know if they even have any left in their distribution centers.

just got this in my email

Note from Hewlett-Packard:
Thank you for your recent purchase of a refurbished HP TouchPad from HP's eBay store. Due to an error in the calculation of Shipping & Handling fees for the HP TouchPad, you were charged an additional $10 in shipping fees for your order. We have recognized this error and HP's eBay store will credit $10 to your PayPal account for each HP TouchPad you ordered. eBay and HP are also aware that in some instances, the shopping experience of HP's eBay store was impacted by the overwhelming response to the HP Touchpad deal. eBay and HP are committed to delivering the best shopping experience possible on eBay and are providing you with an additional $9 credit to your PayPal account for each of your HP Touchpad orders. We apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced when purchasing the HP Touchpad. Your combined credit of $19 will cover the standard shipping cost for each HP Touchpad you ordered. Please accept our sincerest apologies.

heh...sweet!

I got the same thing, but I think they double credited me since I only ordered one touchpad and the credit I got was for 38 dollars. I did attempt to buy two touchpads, but I was only able to get an order for one to go through.

check your ebay messages - i got a 10% off coupon ( max $10 ) for trying to buy a touchpad.

i guess they did recognize that i had a touchpad in my cart at least once out of the dozen or so times i got in
