Looks like its got most of the same stats - but the contrast is 500:1 not 1000:1 (and its an inch smaller)

(I got my 2405PFW for $801 + tax)

Good deal if its the same display inside.

Why? It has a 1920x1200 native resolution just like monitors of that size "should"/usually do, unlike the larger 26"-32" LCD TV's that only do 1280x768 or thereabouts...

I've used it and I like it a lot..

DVI is a must when using this monitor, it looks pretty poor on VGA.

$799 is nice, and it has component inputs!

These words?

"the HP L2335 is really the best ultra enthusiast display out there."

Aargh! Site seems to be down.

I get this:

"Come back soon!

Our site is down for scheduled maintenance and temporarily can't accept new orders. All previously placed orders are being processed. We expect to resume operations shortly.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

Thanks for visiting hpshopping.com!"

The company I work for has HUNDREDS of the L2335s, at least 60 on my floor alone. All our geologists and Earth scientists have two side-by-side attached to there workstations. Beautiful monitors. My only gripe (in the past) was that we were paying almost twice what Dell was asking for the 2405. Now that the price has dropped, it seems like a awesome deal.

Agreed! It does look bad on VGA. I recently swapped them over to DVI cables, and now everybody is happy.

Ok, we have established that the L2335 is a great monitor but the monitor in this deal is NOT the L2335.

Does anyone have experience with this LCD? This is a really great deal if I do not have to pay tax on it.

And it is OOS too.

It uses the same panel as the L2335. Pretty much the same thing but has attached speakers and you can't rotate the screen.

This is an awesome deal...it clearly means they are coming out with a new monitor but who cares...too bad they are out of stock...

man i hope this comes back in stock, if this uses the same panel as the one in Anand's review (anyone know for sure? is everything identical?)

This is an incredible buy I think. I would absolutely LOVE to have one.
