So what am I going to do with my extra socket A processors?🙂

1800 goes to 1.2
1700 goes to 1.0
1.0 goes to 800

looks like a I got an extra duron 800 & athlon 1.2.
gah:|, it was too cheap to pass up.

Looks like they have a decent price on a blue antec/cheiftec case for $55.10....not sure what shipping would be...but if it is cheaper than neweggs I might have to get it. Neweggs price+$18 fedex saver (which sucks for me cuz ground can get it to me next day anyway)+tax=kills the wallet(and no, I am not talking about that other "not-so-skinny" wallet website)

Strange thing is, when I entered their own zip code (14225) shipping calculator does not work.

I also got this e-mail...... 😕

I hate this forum. No need, but at that price, I'm in. Please cancel my order and save me from myself!

I was so ready to jump on this deal, but I have a problem with not being quoted shipping charges, so I'm going to abandon my cart. It's a little cheaper than some other combo deals listed at Pricewatch when you add the ECS k7s5a mb to it, but with a retail CPU instead of OEM which is great! Unfortunately, I'm not willing to risk astronomical shipping rates killing the deal. I'll hold off to upgrade a little longer, I guess. I abandoned my shopping cart.

I just spoke with the sales department and they quoted me at no more than $8 shipped for a single CPU. I ordered three and asked if shipping was too expensive is there a charge to cancel the order. The sales associate informed me that there is no charge to cancel orders, but he was unable to quote me exact shipping for three processors.

site is back up and the shipping caculator seems to be working now. $9.43 to me in NC for FedEx ground...doh!

looks like they corrected their mistake...showing $124.81 now and it's on back order! oh well.....

Update: now it is $245..wtf???

price is now up to $245. Looks like they're having all types of problems. Or maybe they've just raised the price to compensate for all the money they're gonna lose....lol.

I just called them as well. The guy quoted a shipping cost of $7.00 to Lexington, Kentucky. So their shipping is legit if they do decide to ship. Now the guy did tell me that they were having problems with their system. Ordered a chip there, last night at 1:20am EST. They might not honor my order. If they do then it will be all good.

Man, I hope it goes through.

Let us bow our heads and pray!!!

I have received three confirmation emails now.

I never clicked the button to complete the order because it said 'customer pickup'. I went back to try and change the shipping method but had trouble. Now I have the confirmation email. Guess I have to call them.

Yeah I know, sucks.

I saw at nexgen as backorder. But I found it for $73 at Yahoo Here it Is

If you got Pricewatch and search on "Athlon XP 1800 retail" you will find quite a few links for processors at the $70-73 range. No great bargain there....

Yep seems like one of my first hot deals is a rip huh?
These guys are classic screw ups.
Well I have to fight them because they allready charged my cc.
I guess the best I can say is I would think long before any future deals with them...
Sorry guys
