hey good one, the LCD eventually paid for itself over time because the electricity $$ saved over CRT

just keep telling myself that and i won't feel so guilty

30ms response time gives you 33.33 frames per second (typically) -- slightly better than a TV. My rule of thumb is that 30ms is the maximum acceptable response time, though frankly I would only go for 30ms in a cheap LCD. I have two 25ms LCDs and they are fine for gaming. 16ms would be even better.

You can place an order just using your first and last name as the business name. I've done this successfully in the past.

My brother is going to be bummed. He just ordered off of dell home sunday for the $479. I don't think I will tell him. 😉

I got in on this deal the last time around... I'm a serious FPSer, and have seen almost NO ghosting. I've heard conflicting reports of 25ms and 30ms response times, but the screen is amazing.

Only problem is that for some odd reason ClearType just won't work with it... won't work at all. That aside, the display is gorgeous.

Mmmm, I wish I had gotten that good a deal for my FP1800... I got it when it was HOT HOT HOT at a total(tax) ~517, and then later got a refund of $50 for a total of around ~450... I don't care cuz I love this monitor!

liquidinferno, how could get $600 credited for two units? i called the rep and saying i want to return and re-order from SB, (hoping they'll refund me;-), end up with RMA#, darn, i did not really want that bother!

Man.. This forum keeps changing before my eye's. I'm not sure that I like this last change or not. BTW.. When are we going to be able to use our own Avatars?

On topic.. Is this monitor any better than the Viewsonic VG800?
