Okay, I got mine. I asked the manager if they had any G85's as on the flyer for $199. He said they were out of stock but would substitute the D135 for it. I tried to look surprised. One of the clerks then said they were going to get a load of G85's in tomorrow. I said that I really wanted it today. When I went to the clerk, she wouldn't take my printed coupon because she said she already added one and couldn't take two. Then when she printed out the reciept, she said, Oh, you get an $80 gift check with this. I tried to look surprised again and said thanks.

What do you all think about the extended warranty from Staples? It would be $24 for an extra year on this printer. I don't usually get this, but for a printer like this, it might be good. However, will they only give me the equivalent price replacement or the same quality printer?

The warranty you're talking about is their product replacement plan. It's actually not that bad . . . if you have any problems during the 2nd year (after the manufacturer warranty expires but before the PRP expires) you call the 1-800 number and they'll send you a gift card for the amount that you paid (you don't even have to send in the printer). If you think you might want to have the printer repaired though instead, pay an extra $5 to get their 2-year printer warranty. They'll try to repair it first, and then they'll send you a gift card if that fails (but you'll also be covered for electrical surges, 2-3 full years of service instead of 1, and get 24/7 tech support for any problems). For 3 years it's another $10, and on-site service is another $10 added on to either of those plans.

I just scored 2 more at the store. I used the 12% off customer appreciation coupon which took an add'l $48 off the price. My final price after rebate and tax will be $84.52.

Does anyone know if I can have these rebates sent to a PO box or to a work address? The rebate form doesn't say anything about no businesses or organizations or PO boxes. BUt I know rebates in the past have said that.

How was this able to be ordered online?

I tried 1800-3STAPLE, and they said they were substituting the PSC-950 printer which is good (has memory stick, flash, and smart media inputs). That is also OOS.

Thanks!

It says it is still OOS. Do you think a work address would have better odds to get the rebate than a PO Box?

Let me tell you. I got this baby hooked up and when my wife came home (upset that I bought something else) I tried a color copy of a large picture postcard. I did this at normal quality, not best. My jaw dropped when I saw the result. It was awesome quality, literally as good as the original, perfect colors, etc. My wife saw it an immediately got on the phone with her boss to see if he wanted one. I also copied my kids textbook page and the result was as good as the original.

THIS DEAL ROCKS!! THANK YOU!! It took me 3 trips to 3 different Staples to find it in stock and that would allow me to use the 12% CA Discount...but it was well worth it!!

eh, staples can suck my.......

i go to my local staples, i walk in, boom 3 135s sitting up near the front. as i come to find out, they are the only 3 in the whole store and have been bought already by 3 staples employees. i ask if they could check my nearest store after them. that store has "at least more than 4", so im thinking sweet. i drive 30 mins to get there only to find out that that particular store is the only store in the whole SD county not willing to do the substitution. i call staples corporate, and they say it is up to the store manager to decide if the substitution would work. good deal, to bad it dead for me. thanks anyways :)

heh there's apparently a staples only 5 blocks from my family's house which almost never has customers or employees...and they had a whole wall of d135's...

but the manager will not allow any coupons. oh well, I told my brother to buy one anyway. Ironically, when chasing previous deals that staples has been very lackluster, but I guess since this is nationwide they finally came through =P

The other Staples nearby still had loads of G85 machines so...

You can always go to a different Staples with your receipt and coupons and tell them you forgot to bring them yesterday. They'll probably let you use them.

Make sure you make a copy of your original receipt (if you didn't get a rebate/duplicate receipt) as you'll need a receipt with yesterdays date to get the rebate.

Is a male to female cable the same as an A/B cable? If it is I've never heard it called m2f

Anyway, Sam's Club sells a 2pk of 6ft cables everyday for just under $7
