Compusa has a 50 pack of Fuji 16x CDRs for $19.99 with a $10 MIR. These are the 700meg, 80 min. version. This brings it down to $9.99 +tax, which is a great price. I am sorry if this is a repost, but I did not find it any where when I searched for this.

Also, does anyone know how good these are?

This sale should have ended two weeks ago in my area.

Good enuf fer me :)

Neato...now I can use the full potential of my 16x burner. :)

Wonder if they'll work on my NASA 24x burner at full speed?

Hehehe...in case you haven't figured it out, I'm joking. :p

If there's anyone thinking of going to the NYC store at 38th st., don't bother as they're all cleared out from yesterday.

Yeah, but you can't order on-line for in-store pickup. Still, it's only $5 for shipping on these discs, and depending on how far you have to drive, how much traffic to deal with, you might spend more than $5 in gasoline driving to the CompUSA store.

As for who manufactures these discs, they are made in Japan by Taiyo Yuden, one of the very best.

Don't forget that Outpost has the same CDR set for $7 more, no rebate, free overnight shipping. And they are "Made in Japan", so they are probably the Taiyo Yudens everyone is so excited about.

I bought these (from Outpost), ran the CDR Identifier on them.

They are confirmed Taiyo Yuden, Cyanine: Type 1.

It's the goods.

<< THese are actually really good CDRs.. made in Japan. >>

Did you even read this thread before you posted that? It's been noted about 5-6 times already above ...

Well d*mn, i need some cd's that will ONLY go 12x, not any less, at all. if they are capable of 8x, 4x, etc, then i don't want em. ok lol j/k. sound's like a good deal.

damn, my burner only burns at 12x... now it feels inferior and will probably get all pissy and coaster a few, even with burnproof on :D

haha, nice find. thanx! i just picked up 50 verbatim 80min from sam's for 25 after MIR, with color half-height cases. I don't feel so bad about it, because they look hella cool, and burnproof means I can use cheap-a$$ cd's for little things :D

so, um, i'm hitting compusa tomorrow...

Ack! Missed it.

How about posting the link to the outpost ones? I can't find them using the power search and searching for the manufacturer's part #25301477 (taken from the compusa page)

I just ordered a couple packs. Outpost has them (#53228) for $19.95. Where is the link for the $10 MIR?? I checked out Fuji films website and couldn't find one. Is the MIR only a rebate from Compusa or what?
