Deal Is Dead.... The Merchant just raised the prices on both the Canon S50 and Sony P72.

_______________________________________________________________________________
Canon S50 (5 MP) for only $379.95 which is a at least a hundred less then everyone else sells it for.
I have bought many products from Yahoo storefronts but haven't had any experience with this place.
It says on their website that all products are sold new-in-box.

I just bought the Canon P72 from them for only $215 which includes:
16MB Memory Stick, rechargeable NiMH batteries, A/V & USB cables, and battery charger.

Here's the Link

You can select their "Index" button to find other items that are not listed in plain site.

Very shotty website that likes like someone just slapped it together... I certainly would not trust buying anything from them, as I'm sure you'll run into troubles

Many Yahoo storefronts have a simple look and feel. Yes, they look pretty archaic by today's standards but I've found some of the best prices from these sites and have never had any problems with orders or shipping.

Buying online at Yahoo Shoping also rewards you with points. You can accumulate points and cash your points and cash them in for various items...

The site doesn't look that bad to me. Free shipping, no restocking fee, 45-day return policy...and great prices. If it's legit, it's a winner in my book. If my OfficeMax P72 doesn't get fulfilled, maybe I'll give this place a try. Please let us know how the order turns out for you.

By the way, the Sony DSC-P72 for $215 is a hot deal of its own! Even a better deal than the Canon S50 in my book.

I find it suspicious that the company info address listed:

BargainBay
4000 W. Center Street
Bucyrus, OH 44820

doesn't exist as a valid mailable address according to the USPS (plus, the online maps say the numbering only goes up to the 420s). It's your money but I would feel safer giving my money to OfficeMax, even if it's a tad more. :)

Although I've never encountered a fruedulent store front on yahoo shopping that doesn't mean they don't exist.

There is a Buyer Protection program that is free for all purchases through Yahoo Shopping. It allows you to get your money back if the transaction goes bad.
You can read about it here - Free Buyer Protection Program

Haha. I assume for some of you it's the first time using the internet?

Within the next 1/2 year or so, there will NEVER be a LEGIT S50 for under $400 before coupons/rebates.

here is their RETURN POLICY

"All returned merchandise can be return or exchange within 45 days from the date the merchandise was received, will be deemed new and in original condition if all packing materials, including manuals and warranty cards are enclosed. Proof of purchase, such as a copy of the original sales receipt or packing slip invoice, is required for reimbursement of the full purchase price. Returned merchandise are not subject to restocking fee."

Definite scam....it's just too lenient!

You guys are so cynical. What is so suspicious about a new poster referring to a site that has the lowest prices (by quite a bit) on pretty much every single camera they sell spanning many brands, and also has an incredibly lenient return policy??? I don't see any red flags. What's the problem?

Hey, a general question on Yahoo stores. How do you find out store info such as when they signed up with Yahoo and how many transaction they have handled? Can you read customer feedback anywhere, or do you only get the stars (this company apparently has no feedback)?

I was looking at the S45 too. My citi bank card has one time use numbers. I was thinking of using it and disputing the charge if something went awry. Will I have much of a problem doing this with Citibank?

Well I'm not an employee at the merchant's for those of you who were suspicious. As a precaution I went out to my OfficeMax in Colorado Springs and bought the Sony P72 camera package today with 128 mb stick & memory card reader for $329 + a $30 OM online coupon. They had only 2 left at the store... the other 2 stores in my area were sold out. I also had a $50 OM online coupon (if you charge it to Discover Card) but the store would not accept it. The total came to $299.

I sent an email to yahoo's fraud department and to let them know I'm concerned about this merchant not having a contact number and valid street address. Yahoo contacted the merchant to file my complaint. Yahoo said I should receive an order confirmation email within 24 hours but if I don't they will contact the merchant and take action to resolve the dispute. Well, it's been almost 24 hours. Will let you know if things go smoothly.
