Mine displays fine and shows it's own wifi network. Attempt seeing it w/ my S4 and I get nada. I have ~6 wifi networks in the area 2 of which are mine (one wide open) and neither saw the device make any attempt to join. Haven't found any helpful docs either.

Got mine the other day. For a "refrub" it sure looks like retail. EXACT same packaging and seals as you'd get with a brand new one off the shelf. The only difference was a "refurb" sticker on the box.

Works like a champ. Chromecast + Plex is just fantastic. Finally have replaced all my XBMC boxes.
