Worldwiderebates = Onrebate

FW Rebate Discussion Post

I was just looking at this, but found out that the rebate house is one that has jerked me around in the past. Waiting for the next deal....

My 8800 GTS 512Mb Tiger order was 10 minutes late it seems. Farted around looking to add stuff to the order, then remembered to go through the 5% ShopDiscover CC discount links, and got backordered on the card.

I got my eVGA 8800GT SC for $230 shipped back in November from this site. Didn't have any problems.

Sound like you'll never get rebate?

Never say never. I have never lost a rebate and I've done 100's if not 1,000 rebates. Sometimes, you have to call a few times, but usually, if you work just a little, you'll get all your rebates. YMMV of course but others have gotten their rebates using this company.

Awesome, in for one. Got my confirmation of 'payment processing', and I noticed they bumped the price up - final price AR is now ~$150US.

is it flaming hot if the rebate comes through ?

For the $145.xx it was earlier, I would say yes. For $161.xx, it's borderline hot/warm. Still a good deal, just not as good as it was.

I have not used them. The Galaxy deal, in one form or another all involving rebates, has been around for quite some time. I have not seen any complaints about rebates in any of the Galaxy thread. Doesn't mean there aren't problems, I just have not seen them.

Great price, but I've gotten ripped off for $88 total in 2 MIR scams over the past year. Over the last ~8 years of buying PC components with rebates (~>100 MIRs), I've gotten every 1 except for the 2 referenced above.

I'm not buying anything with a MIR from anyone but a firm I know and trust and WorldWideRebates isn't 1 of them!

Thanks for the post though:)
