Gah. Not more cheap DDR3 RAM at Newegg. Must... resist...

(Currently, have 3x8GB kits of Ripjaws, and 4x8GB kits of Gskill Value ram.)

In the reviews at Newegg, Gskill admits that the heatspreaders are not necessary.

3 out of 5 eggsworks well no errors

Pros: works well no errors fits under my heatsink.

Cons: owned this ram for 2 months.opened case to upgrade video card and noticed the sides have fell off one stick of ram.the other stick the sides are starting to get loose.

Have this memory running good at 1.35 volts without any problems.
The Egg is cool now with in less 24 hours from placing my order I receive it.
Now I have listen for the package to hit the poarch landing do a PS with the memory it should make noise when thrown up the last 4 steps.
Only one good dud will put it package between the doors and ring my bell.

GSKill had these cool tiny 3d Logos decals at one time.
I wrote GSKill a letter stating there recent orders were missing logo decals.
Few months letter I get this package from gskill with fancy gskill pens. id holders, more bigger decals etc.
Because GSkill cares they have come a long way from the c2d days.

You know the ram chip manufactors (Micron, Samsung, ect..) HATES the state of current memory prices. And lately its been PNY and GSkill making the truly hot deals overall. You can be quite sure that neither GSkill (Probably alittle something but very, very tight), nor the chip makers is making any money right now. Especially the chip makers.
