Did you click apply after entering the code "PaypalFree" in the promo code entry?
NewEgg also requires shipping to the confirmed Paypal address if you have linked a credit card to the account (I had to delete my credit card from my Paypal account and use non-credit card Paypal because I am not currently at my permanent address).
Some items for some reason don't apply (I tried numerous times to enter an APC surge suppressor, and it kept adding shipping charges to my order).

I'm trying to get a Colorvision monitor calibrator, it could be possible that it doesn't qualify. I'm definitely hitting the button to apply the code, the shipping charge drops, but it comes back with a message afterwards. Every time.
That's exactly what kept happening to me on the surge suppressor.
I think there must be some exceptions that Newegg has in it's fine print.

Alright... I think I got it working. I'm ordering some fans and a heatsink.

Now when I select UPS 3 day, it says "This promo code is eligible for PayPal only, discount will be removed if a different payment method is used." And it shows the discount for the shipping.
My order went through, and paid with PayPal. I'll try to find more little items/knickknacks I need and order it later this week.

Maybe now it is (been a while since I had ordered from them), but it used to be free 2-day fedex shipping. Not sure when they changed, but I did a quick search under archived threads, and found references to free 2-day fedex shipping at ZZF.

It seems you have to choose UPS ground. For some reason now, they allow UPS ground to hawaii, even though it isn't much cheaper than 2day. But free shipping for me!

Huh? I ordered an Antec 180B and got free shipping.
You do have to use Ground shipping, you have to use the coupon code and you have to pay with paypal, and you'll get $20 off shipping. In my case shipping was $16 so it ended up being free.
you can use a non cc paypal account? did they change their policy or something? i tried using non cc account like 2 yrs ago and they would only accept confirmed cc accounts ???
I don't exactly understand what you mean, but they did make me add a credit card as a secondary funding source. I was paying using my checking account too, but seems they won't let you pay without a backup CC. So I used one of those virtual CC numbers with $1 limit. Worked fine so far.
