Here is hoping it meets my expectations.

I don't want to get something with a lot of problems and get wailed on by my wife :)

I think I have 21 days to be sure though, so I should be ok.

She will probably think its a TV :)

Don't you guys know better? Wait for the 25% off E&A plus stackable dollar-off E&A before you buy a Dell LCD.

This should drop it to $1200-300-55or so = about $845 - not too bad considering the 20"er listed for 899 to 999 about 6 months ago.

According to the product description, it also has a component input!

Port(s) Total (Free) / Connector Type: 15-pin D-sub / DVI-D / S-video / Composite / Component / 4 x USB 2.0

Also, keep in mind that the native resolution is 1920x1200, so if you have bad eyesight, the icons are going to be pretty darn tiny.

Only as tiny as 20" 1600x1200 LCD icons. Not too bad.

Then again, I'm not a big fan of the "bigger panel - smaller dots" tend. We need native-rez 1024x768 18" panels and 1280x960 20" panels for people with diminishing eyesight. Otherwise, what's the point of having a super-sharp monitor if you have to be twenty years old to see the sharpness? :)

Personally I'd consider < $799 hot enough to order but this is still better than retail.

At this price I'd rather get dual 2005FPW's for under $1,000 (last week when they were $486.48 each).

Well, dell will give me the discounted price if they do decide to allow coupons, etc for this monitor. If they dont, I ship it back, once I get the 'new' one, at the discounted price... At the most it will cost me shipping of 16.00... but to save $339.00, i can do that.

Now, what do do with my 2005fpw!

Could just make them bigger.

RC Desktop --> properties --> appearance --> advanced --> Icons --> Size++;

Assuming some of you going to be playing games with it, do you have have enough graphics power to run at its native resolution? I doubt no single card solution could. My X850XT PE runs the 2005 at its native just fine, but I think I would be pushing it if I went to this larger model.
